Virtual showrooms for sales and product presentations

Virtual Showroom: Show Your Product in 3D, Right in Your Customer’s Browser

Your customer opens a link and sees your product from every side, with no app and no VR headset. You guide them through it while you talk on Teams or on the phone. That way you can show even what cannot come along to the meeting. Try it right here.

In sales

One link that stays with the deal from first meeting to closing

On average, 13 people are involved in a B2B buying decision, and two out of three buyers want to handle part of the purchase without a sales rep. With one link, you reach everyone involved, anytime and anywhere.

  1. Present in the meeting

You send a link, and your customer opens it in the browser. With Link & Show, they see what you show: rotate, look inside, open details. The conversation stays on Teams, Zoom or the phone.

  2. Pass it on after the meeting

Your contact forwards the link to purchasing, engineering and management. Everyone sees the same product, even when your sales team is not there.

  3. Show it at trade shows and online

The same showroom runs on tablets and screens at your booth and on your website after the show. Where real size matters, it also opens in a VR headset.

Examples from our projects

Virtual Showrooms and Product Presentations in Use

  • Böllhoff’s virtual reception area with seating, company history and reception desk

Online events in their own showroom

Böllhoff invites customers into a virtual headquarters with 3D models of its products. It started as a replacement during the pandemic and is now a fixed part of the company’s communication, with significantly more participants than before.

  • 3D model of an Amprion substation with insulators and line gantries

Online and on site at the same time

Amprion informed residents about construction projects in the browser. At information events, tablets with the same showroom stood next to the physical models.

  • Virtual hall with several X-ray inspection systems from Waygate Technologies

The entire portfolio at the customer’s site

Waygate Technologies shows X-ray inspection systems that weigh ten tons at the customer’s site in a VR headset. Sales rep and customer stand at the machine together as avatars.

  • Virtual operating room for a heart procedure

One application for training and sales

“We can present our products and innovations interactively, anytime and anywhere,” (translated from German) says Lara Dahlbüdding from marketing at Medtronic. The same simulation is used to train surgeons.

Process

How your showroom is built

  1. See it live

We show you a virtual showroom live via link while we talk on Teams or on the phone. That way you experience it from your customers’ point of view. Then we collect what you want to show.

    Result: proposal

  2. Data and concept

You send CAD data, photos and documents. Together we decide which products, info points and modules your showroom needs.

    Result: concept and schedule

  3. Development

We build in small steps. You see every stage in the browser and give feedback right there.

    Result: finished showroom

  4. Launch and operation

We put the showroom online, embed it on your website and show your sales team how to present with it. We take care of hosting and updates, free for the first year.

    Result: in use in sales

Questions about virtual showrooms

What is a virtual showroom?

A virtual showroom presents products, machines or entire sites in 3D or in 360° footage. Customers open it in the browser, on a tablet or in a VR headset, turn the product, look inside and call up information. In B2B sales it does not replace the real thing. It shows it where the real thing cannot go: in a video call, after the trade show, on the website.

Do my customers need a VR headset?

No. The showroom runs in the browser on laptops and tablets, with no app and no installation. The VR headset is an option for trade shows and customer visits when real size matters. Both use the same 3D data.

Brochure, plant visit, browser or VR headset: what fits when?

Experiencing the real thing still makes the strongest impression, and only there can you touch the material. But not every customer comes to the plant, and not every product comes to the trade show. Brochures, PDFs and videos reach everyone, but they do not show the product from every side or from the inside.

The showroom in the browser closes the gap: no travel and no hardware for the customer, the entire portfolio in every variant, viewed together from different locations and reused at trade shows, in training and on the website. The VR headset adds real size and full attention, but needs hardware and only ever reaches one person.

Our recommendation: the browser as standard for every meeting, the VR headset for trade shows and important customer visits, the original for acceptance and closing. All three use the same 3D data.

How much does a virtual showroom cost?

Our packages: First product in 3D from €1,500, Present via link from €8,000, Browser and VR headset from €10,900. Individually, a 3D exhibit starts from €1,500, a showroom built from 360° footage from €2,500, a virtual showroom with several products and Link & Show from €8,000. A VR headset version (from €5,000) can be added as needed. Operation and hosting cost from €99 per month, and the first year is free.

How long does development take?

A 3D exhibit takes 2 to 4 weeks, a showroom built from 360° footage 1 to 6 weeks, a virtual showroom 6 to 12 weeks. If the showroom needs to be ready for a trade show, add four weeks of buffer.

Can I show the product together with my customer in a video call?

Yes. With Link & Show, your customer follows your view directly in their own browser, without screen sharing: you turn the product, point things out and open details, and your customer follows. The conversation stays on Teams, Zoom or the phone. Nobody needs a new conferencing tool. Without Link & Show, you share your screen or you both open the showroom in the browser.

What data do you need from us?

CAD data, photos, dimensions and existing presentations all help. We turn the CAD data into a simplified display model, so your engineering data never ends up in the browser.

What makes a showroom that sells?

There is no off-the-shelf showroom. When we develop one, we follow three rules. First, plan backward: start with the effect, meaning what the customer should know and do afterward, then the facts, then the material you already have, and only then the concept. Second, focus on what matters: an idea that impresses but does not serve the purpose is left out. Third, do not build dead ends: we develop in modules so that new products can be added later without rebuilding.

Does this also work with 360° footage instead of 3D models?

Yes, when a place shows more than a single product. GBD Group shows new customers its test benches in 360° instead of running its own trade show booth. RWE takes guests through the trading floor in Essen, which is closed to visitors. 360° footage starts from €2,500, photos included.

Can I embed the showroom on my website?

Yes. The browser showroom can be embedded on your website or opened via its own link, either public or only for invited customers. We host it in Germany, or it runs on your own server, which lowers the ongoing costs.

Does the showroom also work at a trade show?

Yes. At the booth, the same showroom runs on screens and tablets so visitors can explore the portfolio on their own, and in the VR headset if you like. Many showrooms are built for a trade show and then move into sales. Trade shows are getting more expensive: 64 percent of German exhibitors name rising costs as their biggest challenge (AUMA Exhibitor Outlook 2026/2027, in German). A showroom extends every trade show appearance.

Can I use the same showroom for training and service?

Yes. The same 3D data can be used to teach operation and maintenance, on a computer or in a VR headset. Medtronic uses one simulation both for sales and for training surgeons.

Who owns the showroom?

You do. The content and 3D models belong to you, even if we run the showroom for you. You are not tied to any platform.

Can new products be added later?

Yes. We build in modules, so new products and features can be added without rebuilding. Most showrooms start with a few products and grow.

How does a virtual showroom improve sales?

Size, structure and function are easier to grasp in 3D than from brochures and slides. The conversation turns to details instead of basics. Because the showroom is shared via link, it also reaches the people who were not in the meeting.
