Virtual reality for machinery and manufacturing

Your Machine at Every Trade Show, Even If It Weighs Ten Metric Tons

Industrial equipment is large, heavy and expensive to ship. In virtual reality, it is present at every booth, at every customer site and in every training room. Visitors operate it themselves.

Typical tasks

Where VR helps in industry

  1. Trade shows without heavy transport

The equipment stays at the plant. At the booth, you still show the whole portfolio, running and hands-on.

  2. Sales at the customer’s site

Consultant and customer stand at the machine together, even when they are in different places.

  3. Training without travel

Operators get to know the equipment on the VR headset. The headset arrives by mail.

  4. Attracting young talent

At career fairs, young people try out typical tasks before they apply.

Example: Waygate Technologies

X-ray inspection systems visitors can operate at the show

The systems made by Waygate Technologies are the size of a minivan. Because of the radiation, they often cannot be switched on at trade shows.

In the VR simulation, visitors position samples and run through the operating process. Waygate uses the same application in sales and in training worldwide.

Questions from industry

How much does a VR project cost?

That depends on what the application needs to do. We publish prices for offers with a fixed scope: 360° video, 360° tours, 3D exhibits, showrooms and recruiting packages are listed under Packages and pricing. Custom applications such as VR training and simulations almost always start with a prototype and then grow in stages, over months or years. We quote a price as soon as we know your plans. So far we have stayed within the quoted budget on every project.

Can you work with our CAD data?

CAD data is a good starting point. What else we need depends on the project.

Does the application run at a trade show without internet?

Yes. All content is stored on the VR headset.

How secure is our data?

Which machine should come to the show?

Tell us the machine and the date. We will tell you what is feasible by then.
