How much work is it for me as the client to have a 360° video produced?

As the client, you have relatively little work to do when you have a 360° video produced. As the production company, we take care of most of it. Still, there are a few steps you need to be involved in so that the result meets your expectations.

1. Initial consultation and concept development

The first phase starts with a kickoff meeting in which we define the goal of the video. We explain the features, possibilities and limitations of 360° videos for virtual reality. Then you tell us what messages or content you want to get across. One or two meetings or calls are usually enough for this, and no technical expertise is needed. Our team then develops a concept that sets the creative and technical framework.

2. Providing materials

We will ask you to provide materials that are important for the video, such as product information, images or text. Choosing the filming locations can also be part of this preparation phase. Depending on how readily this information is available, this step takes anywhere from a few days to a week at most.

3. Filming and post-production

If the 360° video is shot at your company and with your colleagues, you will need to take care of filming permissions and contacts. If the shoot takes place in a public space, we handle the organization.

Filming a 360° video usually takes one to two days. As the client, you are usually there for the entire shoot.

The entire post-production process, including editing, audio editing and final review, usually takes two to four weeks. This phase usually includes one to three review rounds, in which you can give feedback and request changes if needed.

4. Finalization and handover

Finally, the video is completed and handed over to you in the format you want (for example, as a file or on a VR headset). A short training session on how to handle the 360° videos on the VR headsets is also part of the process.

Conclusion

So the work for you as the client is manageable. You need to develop the concept together with us and provide the necessary materials. After that, we work together to organize the shoot and carry it out. During the editing and finishing phase, you need to give us feedback. We handle the entire technical and creative production, so you get a finished 360° video quickly and efficiently.
